Travel the culinary globe with one trip to the nearby Point Happy Center in La Quinta. The Flame Restaurant at the crossroads of Highway 111 and Washington Street is an international dining destination featuring a Japanese hibachi grill, a Brazilian barbecue churrascaria and an all-American bar and grill under one roof.
MIX — the restaurant’s American bar and grill — opens at 5p.m. for happy hour food and beverage prices all night long. Here you’ll find affordable cocktails and appetizers from $5 and 12 meals priced at $12. Stay and enjoy live entertainment and a festive atmosphere. Or bring out your adventurous side and head to one of the two international dining rooms for an evening to remember.
The backdrop for the exhibition-style hibachi grills is a striking 40 foot by 15 foot mural of Mount Fuji designed by
artist Terry Cook. You’ll be amazed and entertained by skilled chefs preparing sizzling filet mignon, lobster, shrimp, salmon, and chicken at your table Japanese-style.
Diners who choose the Brazilian barbecue are greeted by servers in gaucho attire who carve rotisserie-roasted meats, poultry, and sausage served directly onto your plate. The steakhouse selections are complemented by a sumptuous 20-foot antipasto and salad bar where patrons may choose from an impressive array of side dishes.
Owners Gloria and Morris Salem have 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and operate the Ichiban Restaurant at Harrah’s Hotel & Casino in Reno, Nevada. They are committed to providing high-quality dining at moderate prices. The Salems oversee The Flame’s unique concept. “The Flame is a one-of-a-kind dining experience. It’s the perfect place for people to gather to celebrate special occasions or simply enjoy a fun night out with friends or family,” says Morris Salem.
Dining rooms are open from 5 p.m. nightly, with early bird dining from 5-6 p.m. Reservations are recommended. Happy hour in the bar from 5 p.m. until close, every day.
